Verse Of The Day Deuteronomy 10:17-19 (HCSB) 17 For the Lord your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God, showing no partiality and taking no bribe. 18 He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner, giving him food and clothing. 19 You also must love the foreigner, since you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. Grandpa's Heart Family Traditions Written by Michael Lee Joshua As far back as anyone could remember - it was always kept in the same place. My grandma kept it there, as did her mother, and her mother before her. They treated it like it was a valuable piece of art. Though it transferred to different houses as it was passed down, it was always on top of the refrigerator of the oldest matriarch. That big black stew pot was made of cast iron – it seemed to weigh a ton. There was always a groan from the one that had to bring it down from its perch. From the time every family member was a toddler, we learned what it meant when it was placed on the stove. Complete story..... The Whole Backstage Theatre Presents October 30, 2012 |

Are You on the Good List? December 5, 2012 2012 Gas Prices Will Set Record December 3, 2012 Including the change in gas prices in Alabama during the past week, prices yesterday were 9.3 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 5.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 11.3 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 10.0 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago. "While the national average continues to fall, we've done the math- the yearly average in 2012 is all but guaranteed to set all time record highs," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. "We still stand at $3.63/gal for a yearly average, and gasoline prices would need to average no more than $2.35/gallon for every day left in 2012 for the national yearly average to drop below 2011, something that appears impossible. In the meanwhile, we have lowered our forecast for Christmas gasoline prices to average between $3.25-$3.35/gallon," DeHaan said. GasBuddy operates AlabamaGasPrices.com and over 250 similar websites that track gasoline prices at over 140,000 gasoline stations in the United States and Canada. In addition, GasBuddy offers a free smartphone app which has been downloaded over 20 million times to help motorists find gasoline prices in their area. In Alabama, GasBuddy tracks price changes at 3,348 retail outlets. |
