Sex Crime Charged To Union Grove Man

A Union Grove man has been arrested and charged with Rape in the first degree and Incest with a minor according to Marshall County Sheriff Scott Walls.

According to Walls, Marshall County sheriff’s investigators arrested Richard Darnell Poe, 39, of Hickory Circle, Union Grove, Wednesday afternoon. Walls said the victim in the case is less than 12 years old. The victim reported the crime to school officials. The Marshall COunty investigators were assisted in this investigation by Alabama Department of Human Resources.

As of Friday afternoon Poe was being held in the Marshall County Jail with bond set at $75,000.
