Arab Today photo by Dwight Hayes January 27, 2010 Arab firefighters responded to a fire at the Jameson Inn around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday morning. The occupants of room 117 told fireighters and police that they were in the process of moving out and had left the room for approximately 60-90 minutes and returned to find the room filled with smoke. Firefighters pulled a burning mattress from the room. Arab Fire Chief Ricky Phillips said he believes the fire started from a cigarette on one of the beds. The fire was extinguished quickly by Arab Fire & Rescue personnel. The room received moderate heat and smoke damage. There were no injuries during the incident. No other rooms or guests were affected by the fire.

Arab firefighters responded to a fire at the Jameson Inn around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday morning.
