A second person has died as the result of a wreck that occurred on Cullman County Road 1809 on December 22, 2009.

David Randall Cason, of Joppa, died Monday in the UAB Medical Center as the result of injuries sustained in the wreck. His wife, Belinda Lee Cason, was killed instantly in the head-on collision that occurred near their home. He was critically injured in the wreck and was flown from the wreck scene by Air Evac helicopter.

David Randall Cason was 49 and was a fork lift operator for Walker Brothers Building Supply in Baileyton and was a member of Pan Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 20, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Click for full obituary....

The Cason's were in a car that was involved in a head-on collision with a SUV driven by Stacey Renea Pearson, also of Joppa. Pearson was also injured, although not as seriously, and was reported to be improving last week.
