A Brashier's Chapel Road home was damaged by fire Sunday night. Arab firefighters were called to the home of Edward and Shirley Bodine located at 1868 Brashiers Chapel Road around 9:30 pm. Sunday night. Upon arrival, firefighters found a sofa and other furniture engulfed in flames but were able to quickly bring the fire under control.
The kitchen and den areas sustained heavy damage and several adjoining rooms received heavy smoke and water damage. No one was injured in the fire. No one was injured during the blaze. Bitter cold temps hovering in the upper teens and low twenties made firefighting and cleanup efforts difficult.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Arab Fire & Rescue Department. Arab Police provided traffic control and scene assistance
