Madison County Win - Loss To Hartselle

The Arab varsity Lady Knights are off to a 1-1 start with a 9-0 victory against sectional rival Madison County, and a tough loss (5-4) to the Hartselle Lady Tigers.

Madison County individual results: (by seed)

1. Abby Burks won to forfeit
2. Ashley Vickers defeated Hannah Harris 8-3
3. Carley Hallman defeated Jeanna Gover 8-2
4. Caleigh Poole defeated Amanda Reece 8-2
5. Lindsey Elrod defeated Kirsten Henry 8-0
6. Emma Walker defeated Brittney Hall 8-0

"This year is a definite rebuilding year in our mid to lower seeds after the loss of three seniors. On varsity we have two seniors, a junior, three 9th graders, and a seventh and eighth grader. The girls are working hard and putting in the extra time needed to be successful."

Returning from last year's varsity line-up are freshman Abby Burks, the defending sectional singles champion, at the number one seed. Also, seniors Ashley Vickers and Carley Hallman and junior Lindsey Elrod.
