Ruth Road Wreck
Sends One To Hospital

An early morning wreck at 1242 Ruth Road sent the passenger of the overturned vehicle, to Marshall Medical Center North for treatment.  The driver of the vehicle was not seriously injured.

Duane Lacey, age 40, of 1812 Fry Gap Road,  was driver of a Honda Accord traveling West on Ruth Road.  Lacey's vehicle veered off the right side of the road, went up an embankment and clipped an Arab Electric Co-Op utility pole before coming to rest upside down in a driveway.  Lacey was not seriously injured.  A passenger, Harley Stillwell, age 44, of 352 Millport Road, was transported to Marshall Medical Center North by Arab Fire & Rescue ambulance.

The accident is being investigated by Alabama State Troopers.  Arab Police, Arab Fire & Rescue, and Arab Rescue Squad responded to the accident scene.  Arab Rescue Squad personnel remained on the scene for about two hours to assist with traffic control as Arab Electric crews repaired the damaged electric lines.
