	Our Christmas Wish & Prayer December 11, 2009 If you have read Matt Davis' story (above), you know that Matt and Sharron have asked Arab Today to act as a link between them and his birth mother, who they believe lives in Arab. We accept that request and pledge to be open to Matt and Sharron's wish, yet sensitive to the privacy and wishes of the birth mother. We have corresponded with Matt and Sharron several times over the past three years regarding their search for Matt's birth mother. We are convinced that their motives are simply to re-establish the mother/son bond that was lost a little more than 50 years ago. Their quest is not meant to disrupt the lives of the mother and family, nor to embarrass in any way. Matt's search comes from a deep sense of longing to meet and share his love with a mother that he has never known. We have reviewed the information and documents that Matt has been able to find regarding his birth mother and believe that there is good cause for Matt and Sharron to believe that she lives in Arab. The Christmas holidays are a traditional time for families to gather together to share their love, to renew their bonds, and to create the memories that warm our hearts. It is our hope that Matt's Mom will read his story and will reach out to us. While we hope that we can be a conduit to re-unite these families, we understand that there may be a hesitation to open this door. Even if the answer is no, or I need more time, any response would be helpful for Matt and Sharron. Our Prayer: Heavenly Father, Just as we, your children, need the love and spiritual relationship that we have with you, Matt needs the earthly love and relationship that only his mother can provide. It is my prayer that his mother will read or otherwise hear of his Christmas wish, that the barriers of 50 years will be broken down, and doors will be opened to restore this long lost relationship. Father, I pray that we can be the link between these families, that everything we do will be in their best interest, and that we will be sensitive to their needs and desires. Father, we place all of this into your hands and ask that through your love and wisdom we will receive an answer to this prayer.
