	Guntersville Gynecologist Arrested On Drug Charges December 2, 2009 A Guntersville Gynecologist has been arrested on drug charges according to the Marshall County Sherrif's office. Dr. Jason Michael Hunt, age 40, was arrested by the Marshall County Drug Enforcement Unit and booked into the Marshall County Jail around 11:16 pm Tuesday night. The arrest came after an investigation by several law enforcement agencies including Arab, Guntersville, Marshall County, and the State of Alabama. Hunt was arrested on charges of possession of amphetamines and two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $100,000 for the amphetamine charge and $60,000 for the unlawful distribution charge. Hunt began his practice in this area in May 2008. Hunt's privileges to practice at Marshall Medical Centers have been supended pending the outcome of the investigation according to a spokesman for Marshall Health System.
